Udupi: Scooter catches fire after tanker rams into it

Udupi, Feb 1: In a horrific accident, a tyre of a scooter caught fire on the road after being hit by a tanker lorry in Manipal on Tuesday, February 1.

The accident occurred in the after noon afternoon when Srikanth Sharma riding his Suzuki scooter was taking a turn at the Syndicate Circle in Manipal. The tanker rammed into the scooter and its rear tyre caught fire.

Srikanth escaped with minor injuries and two persons from the locality fought hard in the middle of the street to extinguish the fire with extinguisher cans.

A case has been registered in Manipal police station.
