Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Feb 4: Dr Kadam Rishikesh Sanjay (24), a resident of Bidar, lost his life in a road accident on Thursday February 3. He was an Ayurveda student and house surgeon at Dharmasthala Ayurveda College and Hospital.

He had left his residence at Kutpady with the aim of visiting the Malpe beach. When he was moving near Arun General Store adjacent to Kadekar panchayat office, the bike he was riding dashed against the wall of the store. He suffered serious injuries to his head and passed away.

Malpe police have registered a case.

Unscientific hump

The locals pointed out that a hump has been built at this point in an unscientific way and it has not been painted. Vehicles which approach this point at considerable speed suddenly lose control as the hump comes into sight at the last minute. As several accidents had happened at this spot in the past, they have urged the concerned to act fast.
