Puttur: Senior journalist B T Ranjan passes away due to Covid

Puttur, Feb 5: Senior journalist B T Ranjan, who was suffering from Covid, passed away on the morning of Saturday February 5.

Ranjan, resident of Car Street of Uppinangady had worked in many renowned newspaper establishments of the state. Currently he was senior reporter of Hosa Digantha. He was the founder president of Puttur taluk journalists’ association.

Ranjan was the recipient of Dakshina Kannada district Rajyotsava award and Dr Shivaram Karant Balavan award also.

Ranjan was admitted to a private hospital of Mangaluru due to illness. He is survived by wife Geetha Shenoy and daughter Soumya Shenoy.
