Mangaluru, Feb 5: As a part of the World Cancer Day 2022, the Department of Public Health Dentistry in association with NSS Unit, A J Institute of Dental Sciences, Indian Cancer Society and Department of Community Medicine, A J Institute of Medical Sciences organized oral Cancer Screening and Awareness Programmes at Melkar and Kavoor on February 2 and 4, 2022 respectively.
A health talk on Prevention of Oral Cancer was given by Dr Pramada, Post Graduate student. Dr Prithvi and Dr Deeksha, assistant professors, Department of Public Health Dentistry, A J Institute of Dental Sciences were present.
Oral Cancer Screening was carried out for the patients. Those requiring further care were referred to A J Institute of Dental Sciences.
