Mangaluru, Feb 8: The 242nd monthly repertory programme of Mandd Sobhann was held at Kalaangann in the city on February 6.
Tributes were offered to former committee member John Gibson who died recently. Organizer Stany Alvares read the tribute. President Louis Pinto, members of the committee and Mary, wife of late John Gibson offered floral tribute.
Later, teacher, cinema and TV actress Swapna Saldanha started the proceedings by ringing the bell.
The audience was entertained by Nellu, Allwyn, Mariya and Sunil of Comedy Company group, who presented three comedy skits. Raveen Martis provided music.
Vikas, Sandeep, Romario, Jeevan and Vreethan presented comedy dances.
Srijana Mathias, Ashni D’Silva, Chris D’Silva, Chrisel D’Silva, Arvin D’Cunha, Anisha Lobo and Sanjana Mathias read the poems of senior poets.
Vitori Karkala compered the programme and welcomed the gathering.
