Bengaluru: Doctor's son, a tenth standard student jumps to death

Bengaluru, Feb 9: The son of the owner of a prestigious hospital here ended his life by jumping down from the fifth floor of a building. This tragic incident happened at Kammasandra near Hebbagody here on Tuesday February 8.

At about 12 pm on Tuesday, Aditya (17), son of Dr Sharan Patil of Sparsh Hosplital, ended his life. He was a tenth standard student of Treemis International School at Hulimangala here.

When the incident happened, both Dr Sharan Patil and his wife, Mamata Patil, were not at home. Two workers and the driver were present. Aditya was at home right from Tjuesday morning. He was to attend an examination at 1 pm. The police said they suspect that he ended his life because of pressure of facing the examination.

Aditya was preparing for the examination since morning. At 12 pm he told the workers that he plans to visit the shop with them. He went up the terrace of the house and jumped down. His head was smashed as a result. The neighbours immediately called Dr Sharan Patil to inform them about the catastrophe. The parents who reached the house thereafter were found grieving inconsolably. The locals were found feeling pity for the tragedy that befell on the doctor who saved hundreds of lives.

Hebbagody police visited the spot and scrutinized the surroundings. A mobile phone used by Aditya was taken away by the police. The police are trying to find the actual reason behind the surprising decision taken by the youngster to end his life.
