Kadaba: Thieves break into two houses, loot valuables, cash

Kadaba, Feb 22: Thieves broken into two houses at Kadaba here and stole valuables and cash.

In the first incident, thieves entered the house of Ashraf, resident of Chakotekere of Bantra village breaking open the rear door and searched the whole house. The family was away and it is suspected that the theft may have been an insider job by someone who knew that the house was empty.

In the second incident thieves entered the house of Balakrishna Rai, who owns a shop at Mardhala of Palethadka at late night of February 21. As per the complaint filed by Shashikala (49), wife of Balakrishna Shetty, the inmates of the house were sleeping on the night of February 21 after completing their daily chores.

On the morning of February 22 when the complainant got up and saw at 6 am some thieves had entered the house by breaking open the rear door and had searched all the godrej cupboards inside the house. They took Rs 35,000 cash kept in between the sarees and Rs 30,000 cash that was kept in the shelf by husband of the complainant.

In addition, the thieves also stole ATM card of UCO bank belonging to their son and a silver chain worth Rs 1000.
The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be Rs 66,000.

Kadaba police are investigating further.
