Udupi: Truck Trips – Blocks Highway Traffic

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Feb 4: After a truck loaded with fish tripped and fell across the national highway 17 opposite Hosa Marigudi Temple in Kaup on Thursday February 3 afternoon, the traffic was disrupted for a long time.

Reportedly, the fish load was bound for Udupi, for making fishmeal. The driver of the truck was trying to overtake another vehicle, when he lost control over it. The fish load got scattered all over the road as a result.

Vehicles were lined up in long queues on both sides of the road at the spot thereafter. The Kaup policemen hired a crane to move the truck aside some time later, paving way for the traffic to resume.
