Kundapur, Apr 16: “BJP government which has won on the basis of religion and Hindutva, is playing appeasement politics after joining with secularists. I really feel shame to say that the present BJP government is not giving value to the feelings of Hindus,” said Sri Narasimhashrama Swamiji of Hangarakatte Shree Balekudru Math.
Swamiji spoke after the Samoohika Shri Satyanarayana Pooja that was held on Friday by HJV Gangolli. He further said, “It is not right on the part of the current BJP government to impose prohibition on Hindu leaders without arresting the accused of more than 30 murders of Hindu activists.
“In seven states of India, Hindus are minorities. Hindus have to take weapons into their hands in order to protect their religion as done by Gods and Goddesses. The real history of India is hidden. Till date we are not able to put it right. It is welcoming act that Bhagavad Gita is included in the school syllabus.”
Radhkrishna Adyanthaya, who gave the keynote address, said, “Hindu society, which has given shelter to all religions is being insulted continuously. It is given the position of a convict and the leaders are prohibited. The religion is kicked unabatedly in order to achieve selfish gains. You are the sinners who poisoned education system with Hijab controversy. Your society is not fit to live, which is torturing animals in the name of Halal.
“Sanatana Hindu religion is the only religion in this world. God is one. But Hindu society worships him in thousand forms. It is not possible to silence the Hindu voice by the society that encourages anti-social and traitor organizations. We will never allow Coastal Karnataka to be another Kashmir. People representatives, who have gained power on the basis of Hindutva, should not become Hindu traitors like Siddaramaiah.
“We, who have born in the sacred soil of India and Hindu religion, should show our gratitude by paying back what we have got from this country, religion and society. We have to take an oath to convert this land into a country that gives light, knowledge, happiness and prosperity to the world. Let us unite together in nation building," he said.
Dr Govinda Babu Poojary, president of Uppunda Shri Varalaxmi charitable trust presided over the function. G Subba, secretary of Nayakawadi Gujjadi Sri Sangameshwara temple, Nagaraja Kharvi, Pathri of Gangolli Kharvikheri Sri Mahakali temple, Raghavendra Poojary, Pathri of Gujjadi Brahma Bunts Garadi and Prashanth Nayak, Udupi district president of HJV were present.
President of HJV Gangolli Govindaraya Sherugar welcomed the gathering. Chief secretary Yashawanta Gangolli did the introductory speech. Sundara G compered the event.
Before the stage programme a grand procession was taken from Gangolli Sri Ram Mandir to Sri Veereshwara temple. Chende drums beating by women, trumpets and people with saffron head gear were the center of attraction.
Kundapur DySP Srikant K was present at the spot and supervised the security. Byndoor police CI Santhosha Kaykini, Gangolli PSI Nanja Naik and Kundapur sub division police provided tight security.
During the procession slogans were raised against the ruling BJP government for prohibiting Pramod Mutalik from entering Udupi district.
