Mangaluru, Apr 18: MLC Manjunath Bhandary took part in a meeting of party candidates who had contested elections at gram panchayat level from Sullia constituency’s Jalsoor, Aranthodu, Guthigar and Bellare. Party workers and leaders were present.
He drew their attention to the differences in distribution of 15th finance grants being faced by gram panchayat members and lapses in the implementation of ‘namma grama namma yojane’ project. He said that the matters will be brought to the notice of the government in the next session.
He was accompanied by district Congress president and MLC Harish Kumar, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj Sanghatan district convener Subhash Chandra Shetty Kolnadu and Sullia block Congress committee president P C Jayaram.
