Udupi, Apr 19: A girl of Chikkamagaluru origin ended her life as her relationship with her lover reportedly went sour.
Kusuma (19), daughter of Madhu and Sujata couple of Chikkamagaluru origin is the girl who killed herself by drinking rat poison.
Kusuma was working as Home nurse at the house of Mohan Kamath, resident of Santhekatte, Kalthur village of Brahmavar since a month. She was in love with Rahul of Chikkamagaluru. Rahul did not receive her call on April 11. Kusuma thought that he does not love her anymore and drank rat poison at the house of Mohan Kamath where she works.
Kusuma said that she has stomach upset due to food poison. She was taken to Ajjarkad hospital on April 13 and died on April 17.
A case in this connection is registered in Hebri police station as per the complaint filed by Sujata, mother of the deceased.
