Udupi: 'Souharda Nadige- Sahabalve Convention' to be held on May 7

Udupi, Apr 20: Sahabalve Udupi and Karnataka Progressive Associations Federation will be organising 'Souharda Nadige- Sahabalve Convention' on Saturday May 7 at Udupi, said Amrith Shenoy, president Sahabalve Udupi.

He was speaking at the press club Udupi here on Tuesday, April 19. Shenoy further said, "Karnataka is a secular and diverse state in terms of caste, religion, thoughts and harmony. But in recent days, some actions have been creating religion hatred among people for political gain. It is creating religion indifference in clothes, daily trading and food also. Hence, Sahabalve and some progressive associations have decided to organise Souharda Nadige to uphold harmony in society."

The members of coordinating committee Sundar Master, Prashanth Jathanna, Veronica Cornelio, Hussain Kodibengre and Azeez Ali were present at the press meet.
