Mangaluru/Udupi, May 31: Yellow alert is declared for the next two days in coastal area. Possibility of good rains is very high. The rain may also accompanied by thunder and lightning. This information was conveyed by IMD.
On Monday, May 30, most parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi had intermittent sunshine and cloudy weather.
Sullia town and some parts of the taluk received good rain on the afternoon of May 30 for more than one and a half hour. The rain was intense in Sullia town, Ivarnadu, Jalsoor, Aranthodu, Kallugundi, Sampajem, Kalmadka, Bellare, Panja, Guthigaru, Kollamogru, Harihara and Pallathadka.
The maximum recorded temperature was 31.2 deg C while the minimum was 24.1 deg C.
