Mangaluru, Jun 1: Lion Nitte Shashidhar Shetty (66), member of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkoota honorary chief secretary, Bantara Matra Sangha former secretary, leader of Lions Club international in the district, senior member of Tulu Koota Kudla and former president of Padavinangady Ganeshotsav samithi passed away at his residence at Padavinangady, Mangaluru after a brief illness.

He has left behind his wife and two daughters. His last rites are scheduled to be held on June 4.

Leaders and office bearers of Tulu organizations, Bunts organizations and the elite have condoled his death.
