Mangaluru, Jun 3: A labourer accidentally fell to death while at work from the tenth floor from an under-construction building on Wednesday.
The deceased worker who was identified as Jabbar Ansari (35) hailed from Khushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. Ansari was working in a multi-storeyed building under construction at Pumpwell here. He accidentally fell to death when he was carrying out plumbing and electrical works in the building. He was seriously injured as a result of the fall and was immediately rushed to a hospital. He breathed his last in the evening.
Kankanady police have registered a case against the owner of the building, contractors and supervisors for negligence and lack of safety measures for labourers.
