Maharashtra Legislature Monsoon Session postponed


Mumbai, Jul 15 (IANS): The Maharashtra Legislature's monsoon session, which was scheduled to start from June 18, has been postponed, an official said here on Friday.

The new dates for the session shall be announced later, according to a formal announcement, though reasons for the postponement are not specified.

Earlier this month, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had convened a special session for 2 days on July 3-4 to enable the election of the Assembly Speaker and a vote of confidence for Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who were sworn-in on June 30.
