Mangalore, Mar 27: Raheja Universal Limited (RUL), one of the leading real easte companies in the country announced its entry into the city by launching Raheja Waterfront, a luxury residential complex on Saturday March 27.

That is why we searching the place of living. Where ever we go, we try to civilize the other people including our people.So iam so much happy because we will settle down at our native.     Is these high raise building is designed for sonami?
    what is is paint quality of the building for the mangalore weather. i visited mangalore seen newly constructed buildoing look very old with in 2 yrs. Any improvement in this project?

    While its good news that everyone's interested in M'lore, for the benefit of Mangaloreans its time someone presented a more indepth and clear statistics about the growth prospects. All we hear about is Mangalore is a hot property, its got good growth prospects, infosys is there, wipro is coming so on and so forth? but how will all this help or boost the demand of so many upcoming apartments. There has to be a clear and genuine demand and supply connection which has to be made very clear to all the people investing in Mangalore. People are talking but do we have evidence to support it. What has Government planned for Mangalore? how long will it take to achieve these targets? how is it poised for further growth etc... This will help all of us and ofcourse prevent the BOOM TO DOOM story!!!

    Even though real estate prices have sky rocketed in mangalore, development of any city is good and progressive. But city planners in mangalore should learn from the mistakes of metros and places like Bangalore etc. where congestion and overdevelopment have become a bane and have depleted the quality of life rather than improving it.

    Have the mangalore city planners planned about metro rail, or how are they going to manage the refuse and garbage collection, the input of constant power for more households and industries, clear drinking water and uninterruped power and water supply, the installment of pavements, gardens and other public utility areas? PROBABLY NOT!

    This is where the indian strategic mind lacks, in progressively developing society in a balanced, civic manner, rather than lopsided development everywhere.

    i agree that jobs are not too many in mangalore. but this is the second fastest growing city in india.it is not true that houses are all vacant. there are some flats bought by NRI or others which they would not wish to rent which are empty. all other houses are full. rentals in mangalore have skyrocketed in past six months. once phase 4 and 5 MRPL and MSEZ is ready, we ll have one lac more employees both direct and idirect in mangalore. besides that there is a huge population of students and staff taking up lot of rental housing. infosys mudipu now has ten thousand employees. more and more medical and engineering colleges also planned. mangalore will soon be a crowded congested place like any other city.

    OH MY GOD AFTER A FEW YEARS EVEN MANGALORE WILL BECOME LIKE MUMBAI A CITY OF POLLUTION LOOSING ALL ITS NATURAL BEAUTY. IF SUCH DEVELOPMENTS INCREASE OUR BUNGALOWS WILL BE REPLACED BY BUILDINGS AND WE WILL LOOSE OUR NATIVE PLACE FOREVER.

    Sunil Kumar, Karkala/Qatar one of my cousin is working in MRPL. Last time there were many positions open for chemical engineers over there, but he told me that only a few of mangaloreans applied for those positions. He told me that mangaloreans are prefering to go more for IT engineering now than chemical engineering. So in that case they have to definately go for non mangalorean people.

    Salvador, before talking about plenty of job opportunities, let us understand the truth, do we have few people atleast to take the jobs? There are no workers available in Mangalore, Most of them vanish after sweet talks and advance!!!

    Sunil Kumar, Karkala/Qatar i dont think so plenty of jobs are created in Mangalore. We have only a few companies in mangalore like MRPL, MCF, Infosys etc. So as a result most of people are looking out for Bangalore for job as it is very easy accesible from Mangalore. Even myself will be joining one of the co in Bangalore from next month.

    I agree with you Mr Salvador Noronha, Omzoor/mumbai/kuwait Housing project are developing in mangalore in a very big way, but industrially mangalore is not developing like other cities of our country like Bangalore, Mysore, Kochi, coimbatore, Pune etc. Many flats are being constructed in mangalore over last few years, but i heard from one of the construction co person that most of the flats are vacant in Mangalore city. So what's the use of constructing so many flats in Mangalore.

    There is no dearth of Builders in Mangalore. All construction workers are migrant. What we need is non polluting industries which employ local talent and aspiring youth.
