Bantwal, Aug 25: An awareness campaign over one time plastic use was held and fines were slapped on shops in Vittal panchayat limits under the leadership of health inspector Shajith.
The officials raided twenty shops in Vittal town. Plastic for one time use was found in seven shops among them. Plastic weighing more than one kg was seized and fines were imposed on the defaulting shops.
