Bantwal: Taluk level volleyball tournament held at Kadumata govt school

Bantwal, Aug 26: A taluk level volleyball tournament was held at Kadumata Government High School under the joint aegis of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, school education and literacy department, block education office Bantwal and the Kadumata school.

School progress committee president Prashanth Kumar Shetty Agari inaugurated the tournament. Kolnadu Gram Panchayat president Nebisa Khader presided over the programme.

BJP state spokesperson Vikas Puttur, Madhava Mave, Mave Gram Panchayat members Rajaram Hegde, Lohith, Anita Shettigar, Shashikala, Saumyalatha, physical education inspector Vishnu Hebbar, panchayat development officer Rohini B, progressive farmer Manoranjan Karai, Salethore Lions Club president Jayaprakash Shetty Meravu, Vittal Lions president Sudesh Bhandary Ermanile, Narayana Shetty Kulyaru, Balakrishna Serkala, BSNL retired engineer Gopal Kulal, Srikanth Shetty Agari, educational organizations office bearer Joyal Lobo, Shivaprasad Shetty, Chinnappa, Umanath Rai, Mohammed Arif, Shashikanth and Bhasker Rao were present.

Vittal Shetty Agari, president of Dhoomavati Seva Trust and retired soldier presided over the concluding programme and distributed the prizes to winners. School progress committee president Prashanth Kumar Shetty Agari and retired teacher Babu Master were on the dais. Headmaster Taresh Naika K L welcomed. Physical education teacher Ibrahim proposed a vote of thanks. Parameshwar Hegde compered the programme.

Tumbe English Medium High School won the first prizes in both boys and girl’s division. Government high schools of Kadeshivalaya and Narsha Maidan won the second prizes in the divisions of boys and girls respectively.
