Mangaluru: Government First Grade College Kavoor celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi

Mangaluru, Oct 3: The NSS unit of the Government First Grade College, Kavoor commemorated Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2 in collaboration with IQAC.
College principal, Dr Shivarama P in his message encouraged the students to uphold the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and live a meaningful life dedicated to the betterment of the society.

As a part of this beautiful day, a cleaning campaign was held in Jyothi Nagar, the adopted village of the college. In an aim to create a healthier, greener, and better India, the NSS volunteers from the college actively engaged in the cleanliness drive by cleaning the areas around Jyothi Nagar Bus Stand, Hanuman Temple surroundings, Bus Stand surroundings, and other locations in the vicinity.

With the combined efforts of the principal, staff, and students, it was an effectively organized programme. At VidyaJyothi High School in Jyothi Nagar, NSS volunteers along with the students of primary and high schools took the pledge in honour of Mahatma Gandhi and promised to practice the principles as imbibed and preached by the Great Indian Soul.
