Mangaluru: Government First Grade College Kavoor organizes seminar

Mangaluru, Oct 29: The NSS unit, Placement Cell, Commerce and Management Association and IQAC of Government First Grade College, Kavoor, Mangaluru jointly organized a seminar on ‘Career Opportunities in Banking Sector', on October 28 in collaboration with UNDP-Unnati Project. The resource person Lathesh B, Financial Literacy Counsellor, Canara Bank, Mangaluru gave an insight into various Financial facilities available for entrepreneurs and for self-employment. He also gave a brief outline of different training programs available for individuals to build their career.

He cautioned the audience against banking frauds which are increasing these days. Unnati project coordinator Suraksha addressed the students and shared her knowledge about banking career opportunities.

The principal of the college Dr Shivarama P gave his presidential remarks. NSS programme officer Mohini K welcomed the gathering and placement cell coordinator Mamatha U proposed Vote of thanks.

The coordinator of Commerce and Management Association Dr Geetha M L, IQAC co-coordinator Dr Therese Pereira, were present. Sanjotha of III BCom eloquently compered the programme.
