Kasargod, Nov 2: The investigating team arrested Asfan (26), a resident of Paivalike Bayar, main accused in the murder case of Aboobacker Siddique (32), a resident of Puttige Mugu, who was employed in gulf.
The accused absconded to overseas after the murder. As he returned to India, he was arrested from the Kozhikode airport by the police team led by DySP Sunil Kumar based on the definite tip off received.
Aboobacker Siddique
Aboobacker Siddique was kidnapped by a gang on June 26 earlier this year and killed after torturing him badly. He was left near a hospital of Bandyodu by the gang, which escaped from the spot. Six people are already arrested in the case. More than 15 people are involved in the murder case. The investigating team has taken steps to arrest others who have escaped to overseas countries.
