Udupi, Dec 5: “The voters’ list in the district is being revised in utmost transparency”, said deputy commissioner Kurma Rao M. He was speaking presiding over the meeting of the political party representatives at the DC office auditorium on Monday December 5.

“Priority is being given to add names in the list as per directions from the election commission. Special registration camps are being held in colleges. I too have visited houses and necessary documents are obtained while deleting the names from the list,” he said.

“The details of special revisions, additions, corrections, changes and deletions are being given to the political parties from November 9. People can clear their doubts by contacting helpline No. 1950. The list of booth level assistants will be published on the website if those are provided early by the political parties. It will be possible to discuss issues with the BLO,” he said.

Additional DC Veena B N, BJP party’s Chandrashekar Prabhu, Bykady Suprasad Shetty, JDS’ Jayarama Acharya, Congress’s Habib Ali, Santhosh Kulal and Navinchandra S Suvarna were present.
