Mangaluru, Dec 22: Shinead Fernandes, a 15-year-old student, released her second book ‘The Search’, a sequel to her first book ‘The Incident’ on Tuesday, December 20. Her first book ‘The Incident’ was released in February earlier this year. ‘The Search’ is the second edition of the six-book long series, Celestium.
Shinead released the second edition during the decennial annual day celebration 2022 (Class VI – XI). During the release programme, provincial Karnataka Jesuit province Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector St Aloysius Institution Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, founder principal St Aloysius Gonzaga Grace Noronha, former rector Fr Denzil Lobo, and principal St Aloysius Gonzaga School Fr Melwyn Anil Lobo were present.
Shinead studies at St Aloysius Gonzaga School. Born to Sharal and Samith Fernandes from Kadri, at the age of 8, Shinead was more interested in reading books. She likes genres like action, fantasy and fiction. At the age of 11, she was inspired by authors like Soman Chainani, Rickriodan and began to create stories.
Her first book ‘The Incident’ was written during the lockdown which is more about fiction and fantasy. It consisted of 21 chapters. ‘The Search’ consists of 42 chapters. ‘The Search’ is a sequel to ‘The Incident’ which is a continuation of where she had left off. ‘The Incident’ was published by White Falcon, while ‘The Search’ is self published.
Shinead has already commenced writing the third edition of her book. ‘The Incident’ is available on Flipkart and Amazon, while ‘The Search’ will be available on Amazon soon.
