B'lore: Trickster, Beltangady Native, Accused of Cheating Rs 50 Cr Nabbed

Bangalore, May 26 (PTI): The city police on Wednesday May 25 nabbed a trickster Valerian Thomas Tauro (35), who was allegedly involved in 16 cases of cheating and duping the public in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and other states to the tune of Rs 50 crore.

Tauro, a native of Belthangady in Dakshina Kannada District, was nabbed by the Channamanachakattu police team, police sources said.

Tauro received formal education only up to standard six, but did correspondence courses in English-speaking and allegedly duped people of large sums of money by promising them loans including those from the World Bank, government jobs and seats in reputed colleges by claiming connections with top police officers, the sources said.

They added that the accused was arrested following a complaint by a Bangalore resident, Narayan Reddy, alleging that Tauro had duped him of Rs 19 lakh while promising for a job for his son.

    Many people like Mr. Narayana
Reddy are easily trapped by the
devious and tricky talk of totally
evil minded people like Thomas Tauro. Millions of people have
    lost billions of dollars through
such schemes undertaken by anti-social elements of the society
all over the world. One Jew
    Maddoff cheated thousands of Jews
and they lost billions of dollars.

    Thomas Tauro derserves no mercy
but a very long life inside the
dirty jail, so that he will not
properly enjoy even one Re he
    made through cheating people.

Two invitations, but we are getting an exclusive choice
to eat with one person only!

The invitation came from Mr. Ambai to eat lunch with him in his
    mega mansion at Mumbai.

    Another came from Mr. Narayan
    Krishnan in Mudhurai, Tamil Nadu
the same food they cooked for the
    suffering people of the city.
    How we respond?

Our society has turned to the
    direction that when people get
    too rich instantly through any
    crookedness, they are worshipped
like successful and powerful people. So, the young generation
    lost their real moral direction
and sanity of life and driven
insane to reach the wrong destination of life through any
    dirty trick and cheating.

We need to live comfortably, and we
need to work to make money to have
a comfortable life. But when we
try to be ahead of everybody in
this world, then some people will
act totally cruel and weird like
    Tauro.

Every trickster should be tattooed with his UID (courtesy: Nandan Nilekani) on his forehead, inner part of the forearm, on his palm, and on his inner thighs and bum. That way he can never remove this no., and they cannot fool anybody ever again. If they do not have the fear of God, then atleast they should have the fear of justice, to keep such scamsters at bay. I think, next to Pakistanis, Indians are the biggest fraudsters in the world, even worse than Nigerians.

This is mainly happening because still now people are available who can be cheated easily while the cheaters try to play with people minds with thier sweet words and try to take maximum advantage. It is better to be careful beforehand than repenting later. Many of them professionally working full time as if they are doing a full time job.

Good job by the City Police department. Congratulations to your department & all of you really deserve appreciation.

This type of white collar criminals are very dangerous like snake in the grass. One will never know to whom it is going to bite. Unfortunately many fall prey to this type of cheaters. This also shows we people who are victims are partly supporting corruption by adopting wrong means and short cut methods to get one’s work done.

It might be true, this man without connection will not dare to dupe up to 50 cr. and definitely he is not alone. Surprised to note that persons like N. Reddy are victims. Apart from cheater Valerian Thomas Tauro, even person like N. Reddy is also given his indirectly support to Valerian by adopting wrong way to secure his son’s seat.

Always when the means to achieve the end is positive, the crime rate & this type of cheating activities will be much, much less. But for many, means is not important and end counts a lot and they do not care what type of means they adopt to achieve the end.

On the face of it, it appears to be a great achievement on the part of Mr. Tauro in self educating himself and mingling with the well off in society and duping them. Alas if he had used the same talent to do some legal work he would have shined and brought honor to his family and parents.

This incident also shows how still people have to take the help of touts to get their jobs done especially those concerned with the Govt. depends. It indirectly points at the high level of corruption in the various babu departments!
