Beltangady, Jan 5: A case is filed at Beltangady station against four people, natives of Kadirudyavara village on the accusation of sexual harassment of a neighbour girl, who used to go to the accused’s house for watching TV, impregnating her and forcing her to abort the foetus.
Sudhir, Parvati, Manohar, Madhu, residents of Koppadagundi of Kadirudyavara village are the accused. Case is registered based on the complaint given by the children welfare committee.
According to the details of the complaint, the victim girl used to go to accused Sudhir’s house to watch TV during holidays. Sudhir sexually harassed the girl and as he came to know that she is pregnant, he got her aborted along with the help of other accused and threatened the victim of dire consequences if she reveals the matter at home.

According to the complaint received, CDPO and officials went to the spot and tried to get information, but the accused did not reveal anything. Later, according to the guidance of the children welfare committee, the victim was counselled at Prajna children centre for orphans and a complaint was filed under POCSO in the police station.
It is learnt that the accused are absconding.
