Mangaluru: Girl found at Surathkal bus stand handed over to child protection unit

Mangaluru, Jan 13: The four-year-old child that was found left alone at Surathkal bus stand was handed over to the child protection unit.

The child, which was found by the public, was handed over to the Surathkal police station.

A case under IPC 317 of a child getting separated from parents was registered by the police.

The child was presented to the child protection unit. Efforts to trace the parents of the child are on.

    I feel so sorry for this child.with or without intention a child is without parents and will be has shock of her life.May be parents are travelled out in bus or train ´Without knowing child is left back?Someone brought the child in station ?very suspicious here.Hope she will be taken out soon.wish her all the best.

    Sad case indeed... Parents have taken care for 4 difficult years of growing up and God only knows what forced them to abandon the baby... However she is now in safe hands and future beckons her... May God fill her life with loving and caring hands...

    @ sharath, Mangalore, Why does the comment seem Illogical? The Beedi and Cheddi activists are experienced in finding which muslim boy goes with a hindu girl, where the cows are being transported and where slaughtering happens etc. So why can't they find the parents for this little girl? Let's see at least one step towards a good work in their life time.
