Udupi: Four attempting robbery held, narcotics, weapons seized

Udupi, Jan 15: Police arrested four youths who were trying to rob passersby on the third main street of V P Nagar of Manipal on the night of Friday.

Muzammil (27), Mohammed Anaz Saheb (25), Mohammed Rafiq (26) and Niyal (19) are the arrested accused. Another accused Rakib escaped from the spot.

Police acted on a definite tip off that four people, possessing narcotics were trying to loot passersby. The cops confiscated five gram MDMA narcotic, 110 grams of ganja, 10 ml syringe and bottle, a machete, knife, iron hammer, wooden log and five mobile phones.

Manipal police are investigating further.

    Bro, what marginalization? This is just over the top! . Please for Gods sake, Do NOT drag ALL the minority factions into this . With all due respect, we cannot stand by ,a teenage girl smuggling gold in her privates. We cannot support abuse of minor boys and girls and even domestic animals. We desist support of 'drug peddlers' and burglars. Dont expect us to support everything blindly. We understand that we have a common political party affiliation and goal .But let us do it legally and amicably. Not by dubious means.
