Kasargod: Youth visits mobile phone shop to unlock stolen device, caught by police

Kasargod, Jan 16: A youth, who stole the mobile phone of a labourer and went to a mobile phone shop in order to unlock the same, was caught by the police due to the alertness of the mobile shop owner. The incident occurred at Manjeshwar.

The accused arrested is identified as Siddique Shafiq Farhan (27). Siddique stole the mobile phone of a labourer who was doing wood work near Manjeshwar Hosabettu Pandyala mosque. However, he could not open the lock of the mobile.

He went to a mobile shop nearby. The owner of the mobile phone shop got suspicious of the behaviour of the accused and informed the police. The cops who rushed to the spot arrested the youth. During interrogation, Siddique confessed of committing the crime.
