Kadaba: Derogatory comments on bhajans, Hindu outfits - Deputy zonal forest officer suspended

Daijiworld Media Network – Kadaba (MS)

Kadaba, Jan 17: Sanjeeva Poojary, deputy zonal forest officer of Koila, who used to post derogatory comments against Hindu outfits on social media, has been suspended from service.

Chief Conservator of Forests and Discipline Authority of Mangaluru passed an order to suspend Poojary on the accusation of writing derogatory comments against Hindu activists and also not answering the questions of Hirebandadi villagers in the gram sabha meeting.

Poojary had posted several comments on social media about religious issues and drawn the ire of Hindu activists. A month ago, he had posted derogatory posts about people who sing bajans and the Bajrang Dal activists had urged for his suspension.

MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor had written a letter to the forest department asking them to transfer the officer, who is stubborn, disrespectful and writing derogatory comments about bajans and those who sing them, to other district and also take action.

I've watched the video of Hindu activists questioning the forest officer, Sanjeeva Poojary about his posts in social media and I liked his answers stating he is a true Hindu and also a honest officer, who is condemning the Hindu organizations singing bhajans till 2 a.m. in the morning. As per Mr. Poojary, they forcibly bring girls from lower caste groups to sing bhajans, however they don't bring their own girls or any girls from upper caste community or rich families. When there is no permission from the Police Dept. to do such things in the late night, is it wrong to condemn such things by a government servant and a citizen of the country? Would the government allow other communities to perform such annoying acts creating noise? He also says a live bomb was found in his property. Despite such threats to the lives of himself and his family from these rogue groups, this man has stood up against those groups who are no less than Talibans and I salute him. This is a very sad story of our India.

From what I have read, he was only questioning why only children of economically poorer classes are made to sing bhajans and not rich kids. Organizers did not have an answer to they have decided to harrass him in the name of insulting culture religion etc

You say "why only poor are made to sing" This bhajan itself a voluntary activity so anybody who is not interested need not sing. As for the rich people, let them sleep if they are not interested. Hinduism is not a diktat based religion. there is no fatwa on anybody who does not sing Bhajans.

Ganeshanna, who said there is no fatwa or diktat? This police officer has been questioned for questioning singing bhajans till 2 a.m. in the morning. He has given justifying answers as being a true Hindu, and a law-abiding citizen. What's the result? He has been transferred for voicing his views. A bomb was thrown in his front yard. Anyone who questions the government, RSS or VHP, they are harassed or jailed with false conviction. You guys don't use the word "fatwa" but you do it in action.

Guys I see some of them are happy if other religion beliefs are hurt, that is so pathetic and present condition of our country. We should not support such things, since all regions have their own beliefs and rituals. We should stand up for each others beliefs and stand up for anything that hurts each others sentiments, whomsoever spreading hatred should be punished.

there are certain protocols for a Government official, and he was also a repeated offender, he never appeared to be much interested in issues related to forest department , but was always more inclined towards political and religious issues, now he is suspended , he can take the latter job as his professional. because he has a strong opinion on certain things, he can probably do better in this field rather than forest department job

I wonder why a Hindu would write any derogatory message on beautiful bhajans. If at all he had said something negative it would have been to improve being a good hindu. Nowadays any constructive criticism is being taken as negative by admistration who are favouring extremists.

Rajesh Udipi you said "your islamist brothers"Means not yours too ?summery of comments I say he has not written derogatory but was against way of someone .That doesnt make one to suspend one Officer .One has to give notice first always before suspending. Is it not possible in Police dept?Simply throw out when doesnt pass to officer ?

I am not justifying the suspension. I am only calling out the hypocrisy of those who have no courage when simslits went on bbbheading spree when got offended by mere TV debate or a cartoon. , But the jokers question when hindus made only police complaint and didnot even touch the person.
