Mangaluru, Jan 20: The 2nd district fast track special court has acquitted Satish Anchan, an accused in the rape case of a minor girl, of all charges under the POCSO Act and freed him.

Satish Anchan was accused of raping a minor girl and causing pregnancy a few years back. This verdict was announced by judge K M Radhakrishna as the prosecution failed to establish that the age of the victimised girl was less than 16 years. The court also ruled that the sexual act was consensual between the accused and the girl.

S P Changappa, Rahiyanna, Bhavya, Vinutha Coutinho, Sonal Mandon and Shwetha argued in favour of the accused.

This judgement is open invitation to minors to try out as there is no offense made out of it. This is much dangerous than so called love-jihad. But, pity the society which focuses only only catchy phrases but show no interest in other more serious issues.
