Kasargod, Feb 11: A woman labourer died on the day of her birthday itself as the veil of her chudidhar got stuck in the machine at Manjeshwar Thuminad.

The deceased is identified as Jayasheela (22), wife of Ranjan.

Jayasheela was working as a labourer in a bakery of Thuminad. When she was working as usual in the bakery, her shawl got stuck in the machine and she was seriously injured. Though she was rushed to the hospital, she could not be saved.

Incidentally, Jayasheela died on the very day of her birthday. She had married Ranjan one and a half years ago. Her mortal remains are kept in Manjeshwar taluk hospital for post mortem.

What an unfortunate fate for this lovely girl! May her soul rest in peace.Veils and sarees, even niqabs are killers, not just in machinery but even when riding a motor bike as a driver or on the pillion seats, buses and trains. Even when crossing a busy street in Mangalore! It is time to become aware of the dangers; can't trust to luck - fate awaits everyone at any age.

First arrest this owner of the bakery. As he is not aware of the safety while working with machinery. His duty and responsibility to provide proper tight fit dress while working in a machine that runs with the support of electricity.
