Will Aero India 2023 eradicate poverty? JD-S questions BJP

Hubballi, Feb 13 (IANS): Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Monday taking a dig at the Aero India Show 2023, questioned the ruling BJP that 'will the event eradicate poverty by any means?'

During an election campaign in Hubballi, Kumaraswamy said, "Is the Air Show a programme to remove poverty? Will poverty be ended by participating in the Aero India Show? The attempt is being made to misguide people at the time of elections."

He said that this is the 14th edition of the Aero India Show. Has it been started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi?

Kumaraswamy said, "Which political party has done injustice to the north Karnataka region? I had advised to rectify the legal and technical issues regarding Mahadayi River water dispute. But, the BJP just wanted publicity. This is what BJP is continuing to do."

"It is being alleged that north Karnataka region is treated with step motherly attitude. The leaders of the region have minted money in the name of projects. The national parties are playing with the lives of the poor," he said.

Kumaraswamy said, "Siddaramaiah is responsible for BJP coming to power in the state."

"The illegalities of BJP are brought out by me. Not by Siddaramaiah. He is doing politics only for power. Congress can't defeat BJP for 10 years. BJP was ready to offer Chief Minister post to me. Only JD-S can defeat BJP," Kumaraswamy said.

    Well, his father had once retorted that IT companies do not contribute to India's GDP; while tax department wants to extract 25% corporate tax. If through his father's reign and his reign together if we could not eradicate poverty, it only means one thing. JDS is not interested in eradication of poverty and it is only for political maneuvering. In any case, HDK is out of pace and far behind reality.

    Yes , this air show can help to eradicate poverty. This gentleman when he became the CM by hook or crook with the (he called illegal) BJP, bought a new official car at 60 lacs even though the previous car used by the earlier CM was quite new. Is it to eradicate poverty ? Now this day dreamer is again aspiring for the CM post. Three jokers HDK , DKS and Siddu are strengthening the prospects of BJP in the coming election.

    this joker is only good at loan maaf...encouraging people to take more loans from banks, misuse the funds and wait for this guy come and forgoe loans! while the rest of the taxpayers are squeezed more and more to fund all this populist schemes. WE DONT WANT TO BECOME ANOTHER SRILANKA, PAKISTAN

    Will his son driving a Lamborghini, he travelling in Fortunenar, and how many foreign cars are their shed nobody knows, will it bring down the poverty of Karnataka people. Atleast the air show creates jobs , get foreign orders for our technology and show cases our countries pride products
