Udupi: Mock trials on VVPAT in voting training programme goes awry

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Feb 13: In a bizzare incident reported from 92 Heroor village of Kaup, a  mock voting carried out during the election voting training programme has given out wrong results on the VVPAT machine.

Speaking about the incident with daijiworld.com, a witness said, "A voting training programme was organised in our village. During which the VVPAT machine has printed wrong results. When we pressed the button against "candidate A" the VVPAT printed the receipt with the symbol of "candidate B". This happened many times.

The witness said, "Later on an officer who had come to give the training also tested but still the machine gave wrong results. The issue was also brought to the notice of Tahsildar by the training officer. I questioned them if the machine gave wrong results during the training session itself how can we trust the use of these machines in a formal electoral process. After many hours I was called again to the place and while testing it again the machine worked perfect."

People have now started to question the integrity of the EVMs and VVPAT machines after the news of this incident broke out.

The district administration has not yet issued any official statement regarding the issue.

India is importing these chips from Japan, but they are not using this machine, US and many European nations knows clearly, REPEAT CLEARLY that this machine is a total fraud (can be done through mobile WiFi from a distance) and they are not using. This government is fooling people and nation and democracy has been snatched from the people. NOW TIME SUPREME COURT MUST INTERPHERE WITH THIS CRIMINALITY.
