Kasargod: Bekal's Babeesh gets President's bravery medal for saving three fishermen's lives

Kasargod, Feb 15: Babeesh of Bekal has been selected for the President's Raksha Kavacha medal for saving three fishermen's lives in a high tide.

The fishermen who had gone for a fish catch were about to meet their watery grave after a huge wave hit their boat.

In an act of bravery and presence of mind, he saved the fishermen's lives.

This incident happened on August 21, 2021 and Babeesh hails from Sri Kurumba Bhagavathi Kshetra in Bekal and his efforts to save three fishermen's lives has come in for widespread appreciation.
