Koppal, Feb 16: BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel attacked family members of Tipu Sultan and said, “We are devotees of Lord Sri Ram and Hanuman. Our lineage is not of Tipu. We will send back his clan.”
Nalin was speaking at the Vijaya Sankalp Samavesha at Kalaburagi. He further said, “Do this state need clan of Tipu or devotees of Lord Hanuman and Ram? I put this question in the land where Hanuman is born. People who are fond of Tipu Sultan should not remain on this land. Only people who revere Lord Hanuman and Ram should reside here.
“The BJP believes in Hanumamale, Dattamale. But Congress believes in Tipu Male. As in other parts of the state Yelburga constituency will also be free of Congress,” he said.
Earlier, Nalin had created controversy by asking public not to speak about trivial issues like roads and drainages but concentrate on huge issues like love jihad.
