Udupi, Feb 16: An incident in which two brothers died on the same day took place at Devadigarabettu in Brahmavar taluk on Thursday.

Raghavendra Yane Mona (40) and Ganesh Devadiga (51), sons of Devadigarabettu Raghunath Devadiga and Sumathi Devadiga died.

On Thursday morning, Raghavendra Yane Mona died following a brief illness while his elder brother Ganesh Devadiga too died in the afternoon on hearing  the sad news. They both lived together in the same house.

Both of them were famous throughout the country as musicians and performers of instrumental music. The whole village mourned the death of the two brothers who stopped playing music on the same day.

In particular, the family members were grief-struck and their sorrow seemed to suggest that the game of destiny has dealt a cruel blow to their lives. Javaraya, the God of Death has dealt a body blow and shock to their family as he took away both the brothers together on the same day.
