Doha: Central Indian Association celebrates Qatar National Sports Day with fanfare

Doha, Feb 17: Central Indian Association (CIA) as part of its efforts to promote active lifestyle and healthy living made elaborate arrangements for its members to participate in the event.

Jai Prakash Singh the president of CIA appreciated the managing committee efforts specially of Vandana Raj, Visalakshi, Priya Johnson and Reena Danao for organising the event successfully and he stressed upon the importance of sports for a happy & healthy life.

Syed Rafi the vice president of CIA mentioned about the sports day celebration as the opportunity to bring communities closer together through sports and games, he thanked all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

Great arrangements were done by Jogesh Dewan to make everyone comfortable. The other committee members who actively participated are Mohinder Jalandhary, Junaid Shaikh, Ashok Raj, Diamond Singh and Aslam. Mohinder Jalandhary the Gen. Secretary said also sports day is a nice event to show solidarity & unity. The venue for the event was suggested by Diamond Singh.

Various sports activities were held for children and adults including Three Leg Race, Ball between the Legs, tug-of-war, sack race, lemon and spoon race, backward walk and etc. Kids and families participated with great enthusiasm, all the attendees took part in the event with great zeal and enjoyed it to the fullest. All the winners were awarded with certificates and gifts.

Before concluding the event as a token of appreciation each category winners and runners up were presented with the certificates and gifts and refreshments were provided to all the participants.
