Dr Colaco, who reached the pinnacle of success through sheer self-belief and hard work, is recognized as a successful entrepreneur with global stature. He was born in a middle-class agriculturist family in Dakshina Kannada. Therefore it is natural for him to understand the difficulties of the middle class and the poorer sections of the society. His attributes of ‘contributing to the society from which he has benefitted’ has made him one of the biggest donors in India. His benevolence has benefitted each and every section of the society irrespective of race, religion, caste, creed or language.

Titles like ‘Hope of the Poor’, ‘Lover of Education’, ‘Nurturer of Talents’ etc., are apt for Dr Colaco. It is a proud feeling for every Mangalorean that Ronald Colaco is recognised globally more for his philanthropy and charity than for his achievements in business.
