Udupi, Feb 23: Heavy fog was noticed in city and outskirts early in the morning on Thursday February 23. People who venture out for daily work had a tough time negotiating traffic as the visibility was poor.
The dense fog caught the residents of city and outskirts by surprise as the weather was simmering hot in the past couple of days. City area, Malpe, Manipal, Kaup and other parts of the district faced disruptions due to poor visibility.
The situation continued till 8.30 am and then the fog cleared and climate was back to normal. Snaps of dense fog were shared in WhatsApp and social media by residents.
