Mangaluru, Mar 2: The road from Yenepoya hospital to Kumpala Bypass via Bagambila at Kotekar panchayat limits has mostly been filled with concrete, thanks to the joint efforts of the Congress and BJP parties, as well as government funding received at various stages. However, a small portion near Bagambila KHB Colony, fifth ward, town panchayat limits, remained incomplete causing traffic issues. Under the circumstances, Rs 5 lacs were received under the 15th finance commission, and Rs 10 lacs were used from town panchayat funds to complete the concrete work, making the road ready for inauguration.

However, confusion has arisen due to the circulation of two different flexes on social media regarding the inauguration of the road. One flex features the picture of Kotekar town panchayat member Pravin Bagambila, claiming that he was responsible for the release of funds and congratulating him for it, along with a specific inauguration date. The other flex, which has also gone viral, is in the name of Congress activists and features the picture of MLA Khader, who is being congratulated for releasing the funds, and it states that Sunday has been fixed for the road's inauguration.

This dual inauguration has confused the public, as the results of Kotekar town panchayat elections, held on December 30, 2021, resulted in neither the president nor vice president being elected, meaning that the MLA is responsible for the use of funds.

It is important for officials involved to clarify the situation to avoid any further confusion.
