Udupi, Mar 4: Members of the public have expressed their anguish against the officials of the city municipality council for digging up a concrete road that connects Sharada Kalyana Mantapa to Beedinagudde, which is in excellent condition.
Social worker Nityananda Olakadu said, “The said road was constructed eight months ago using 10 inch thick iron rods. The road was in good condition without any potholes. It is really condemnable that such an excellent road that would have lasted many years has been dug up again without any valid reason. Public money is being wasted by these kind of dubious projects. The work needs to be stopped as soon as possible.”
