Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Mar 5: A wild elephant was sighted at Katta Cross near Kollamogru of the taluk on Saturday, March 4.

Auto driver Dayananda Paramale was driving his vehicle while the wild elephant crossed the road and went inside the forest. Some days earlier also a tusker was sighted in the same spot.

There is a possibility that the tusker must have gone towards Kantukumeri Balagodu area after crossing the road. Everyday one or the other tusker is seen in Katta Govindanagara, Kollamogru, Kalmakaru, Balagodu and Ainakidu areas. Residents of these areas are scared to venture out as they live in fear even when they are inside their homes.
