Bantwal: Cheque bounce case – Accused fined Rs 5.72 lac by court

Bantwal, Mar 5: A city court has fined an accused of Rs 5,72,800 for defaulting on a loan taken from Bantwal taluk primary cooperative agricultural and rural development bank.

Krishnappa Poojary, a resident of Paldottu Vamadapadavu, is the accused person. He had taken a loan from PLD bank and did not repay. The cheque which he had given to the bank also got bounced. So the bank filed a case against Krishnappa.

Bantwal Civil judge senior department and JMFC court ordered the accused to pay Rs 5,000 to the court and rest of the fine amount to the bank.

Lawyer Shivaprakash Jain argued in favour of the bank.
