Bantwal: Auction of jackfruit at Moolarapatna mosque – Devotee buys one fruit for Rs 4.33 lac

Bantwal, Mar 25: It is common for devotees to buy fruits and other things that are offered at religious places for more than its actual market price considering that it is holy. A man bought a jackfruit for Rs 4.33 lac in the auction and surprised everyone.

Religious discourse was organized on account of inauguration of renovated Moolarapatna mosque. After the discourse by Sirajuddin Kasimi Pattanapuram, he began auctioning a jackfruit that was brought as offering to the mosque.

Eminent local leaders Azeez and Latif competed for the jackfruit and it was sold to Latif for Rs 4,33,333. The auction process has gone viral on social media. All are expressing surprise at the huge amount paid for a jackfruit. In addition, all other things that were offered to the mosque are auctioned for good price and all the amount collected is handed over to the administration committee as per sources of the mosque.
