Mangaluru: MCC revenue inspector obstructed during unauthorised banner removal

Mangaluru, Mar 26: A complaint was filed by the revenue inspector of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) with the police accusing four unidentified individuals of obstructing the removal of unauthorised banners on March 25.

According to the complaint filed by Ravindra, the revenue inspector of MCC, the four individuals obstructed his team while they were removing banners near Attavar Chakrapani temple at around 9:30 pm on March 24. The MCC commissioner, deputy commissioner (revenue), revenue inspector, and tax collector were present at the time of the incident. The complaint also alleges that the four individuals verbally abused them.

The South police station is currently investigating the incident.

    Banner near a temple ? Quite understandable who may have put it. If MCC authorities tried to remove it, obviously it was there without permission. Meaning, one rule for one community, another for other communities ?? Wah !
