Mangaluru, Mar 30: Official of central sub division and personnel, under the guidance of city police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain, raided six shops situated in Saibeen Complex near Lalbagh in the city that falls under the limits of Barke police station and confiscated prohibited E-Cigarettes and foreign cigarettes that does not carry tobacco warning signs on their packs.
The shops that were raided are Amantrana Shop, Fantastic World, Unique World, Do It, Fantastic Shop and Venture. The team confiscated 273 E-cigarettes worth Rs 1.5 lac and foreign cigarettes without tobacco warning signs on them worth Rs 5.3 lac under COTPA act. The total value of both E-cigarettes and foreign cigarettes confiscated is RS 6.8 lac.
The arrested accused in this connection are Rehmatullah, Santhosha, Shivu alias Shivananda, Hasan Sharif and Irshad.
