Kasargod, Apr 7: A horrifying incident occurred in Panathuri on Friday, April 7 evening, in which a wife allegedly hacked her husband to death.
The deceased has been identified as Babu (54) of Puttoo Radka, and the police have taken his wife, Seemanthini, into custody.
Preliminary information suggests that the reason for the attack was a family feud. Babu used to come home drunk every day, and a quarrel apparently broke out, during which Babu attacked his wife with a sword. Seemanthini allegedly retaliated with the same sword, resulting in Babu's death.
Upon receiving information, locals rushed to Babu's house, where they found him lying in a pool of blood. The Rajapur police were immediately notified, and they arrived at the scene and took Seemanthini into custody.
The Babu's body has been shifted to Pariyaram Medical College for autopsy.
