Mumbai, Jul 2: Neeraj Grover's mother Neelam Grover fears threat to her life from Maria Susairaj who was released on Saturday July 2 in connection with the case.

Susairaj was convicted by the Mumbai court on charges of destroying evidence. On July 1, she was awarded a three-year term in jail but walked free as she had already served the term since 2008 as an undertrial. She was told to pay a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victims's family.

"I wish she was not allowed to move out of Mumbai under any conditions as she can harm us or even hatch a conspiracy against us", she said.

Neeraj's father objecting to the 'police security' provided to Maria said "A criminal is enjoying police protection. What about common man?". He added that he was willing to talk to Maria but only if she approaches them first.

Maria's fiance and the main accused in the murder case has been sentanced to 10 years jail term after the court pronounced him "guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder".

Three years ago, Neeraj Grover's body was disposed near Manor, Thane after being chopped into several pieces.
