Madikeri: Miscreants open fire on VHP Kodagu district president's car

Madikeri, Apr 14: Assailants fired gunshots on the car in which P Krishnamurthy, lawyer and Kodagu district president of VHP was travelling at around 11.30 pm on Wednesday. Police are on the hunt for the shooters.

The car of Krishnamurthy was attacked near Chettalli as he was returning to his residence at Madikeri after partaking in a function at Kushalnagar. The bullet only hit the car and Krishnamurthy escaped unhurt. It is suspected that the accused must have shot from behind the roadside bush.

Madikeri rural police have registered a case. SP K Ramarajan visited the spot and further investigation is on.
